I have 2 new additions to make.
The Good: Everyone knows that my Grandma gets season tickets to all the basketball games, right? Well, I get to go to a lot of them, but I have to share time with my family members in the area. And they told me when I came here that under no circumstances would I ever get to go to the Dook game, because one of my uncles would always take the other ticket. Well, apparently, the uncle that was going to go to the game can't go now, which means yours truly will be halfway down the lower level, directly behind the bench, for the game! Am beyond excited about this development.
The Ugly: My streak of bad luck continues. At practice Tuesday night I made a break through the line and was running when I got tackled from behind. My hip went one way, my knee went the other, and there was a hideous POP. Now, I was on the ground and people were still rucking on top of me, but the girl that hit me heard the pop and shouted for everyone to get away and for the coaches to come over. I was sort of stunned, but in quite a lot of pain. I went in to the late night clinic at student health to get checked out. Now, the doctor seemed to think that I had sprained my knee in 2 places, worse on the inside than the outside. The good news is he didn't think I'd torn anything, but because it was (and still is) super swollen and filled with fluid, he couldn't be certain of anything. So I have another appointment tomorrow to see how it's doing and determine if I need an MRI or not. Bad news is, even if it's just sprained, I may be out for a couple months. For now they've got me in a gigantic brace thingy affectionately called THE IMMOBILIZER and on crutches. Since I'm the least coordinated person in the world, the crutches have certainly been a challenge, though I'm beginning at least a little to get the hang of them.
It's just one thing after another, you know? Shall update again when I know more.
