Drabble: Sound
Author's Note: another drabble from spn_30snapshots theme 1: Elemental. No particular fandom or I suppose in this case bandom, but it was inspired by watching some youtube videos of the band Switchfoot.

His body moved around the drums in such a fluid way that the drums seemed animated. The way his body rocked reminded her of running.
Perhaps that was why she picked up on the hiccup in his routine, like a misstep, as he pulsed to a different rhythm, “haa-gxkk-h!”
Several seconds later, he twitched his nose with a short sniff like a flick of his wrist over his drums. He swung his head into his flexing shoulder, his hair fell forward like a curtain, and “ha-haa-ha'guxkk-hh!” His nose swerved with another sniff.
During a stint on the cymbal he brought his unoccupied hand to his face to rub his nose. With his drumstick still in hand it seemed like he was going to coax a beat from his head. His nose provided a music of sorts as he ducked behind his hand, still fisted around his drumstick. “haa'ah-gk'sschh!” This one was more audible, sounding like the rush of a gentle wave, just as the music swells again for the finale.
When the song ends and the singer leans into his microphone to say over the cheers, “Sorry, we're going to take a quick break to tune.”
