They were fighting some returning ice age today, so it only made sense that Peter had a cold. Although really the likeness between the inching and increasing cold weather and the germ that had infected Peter wasn't readily apparent.

After Peter sneezed wetly against his palm however their likeness became more apparent. For Peter's voice had dropped--plummeted--like the temperatures and further dulled his senses like too much exposure to the cold is wont to do.

"Go home, Peter."

Peter cleared his throat and sniffed. "I'm okay, Olivia. It's just a cold. Nothing really to do about a cold but wait it out. Unless you're my dad and then you might think this is the prime time to do some experiments on the common cold. Maybe find a cure. Maybe find a way to use it as germ warfare."

"I still think you should go home." Olivia didn't say that Peter wasn't needed, that he was slowing her down, but while those things went unsaid they did not go unrealized.

"History's sad isn't it?" He said and Olivia watched him uncertain. "A study of what was but no longer is."

"We don't want the pleistocene era to return."

"True. Maybe memories are better as memories." Peter said, hunching into his jacket, and then sneezing into the collar. "Having a cold was not better as memory though. I'd much rather have a stuffy nose with you than with my dad. I think this is one of my better colds."
