Supernatural drabble: Wind Chimes

John groaned. He could hear his kids playing with his late wife's wind chimes. She loved the damn things. The kids loved the damn things. He could only ever muster up a vague approval of them. And it was always short lived.
Right now he down right hated the things.
The storm of tinkling assaulted his ears. The thin, high notes hitting sharply behind his right eye. He held his breath. Swallowed. Willed himself to oblivion like a breeze should sweep down and rustle his soul to somewhere prettier with someone prettier away from this ugly, painful, lonely hunter's life.
John hated his late wife's wind chimes because they reminded him of uncomplicated times when a pretty tune was merely a pretty tune.
