An update? Fuck it.
Here's my update- this semester was hard. Physically, homeworky, and emotionally. DONE.
The past weeks haven't been easier either. At least my job is easy. Working at Velocenet, an internet company, has led to me to waste hours on end checking Facebook, Myspace, Livejournal and other procrastination tools simply because I have nothing to do. As is the case right now.
Today is my last day here for a month. Monday I leave for home where I will jump into my 5 line role of Chava in Fiddler, along with an hour drive up some of the steepest mountains I have ever seen. (Sonny be glad you won't be in the car. If you thought Old Fort was bad...)
Home is going to make me face some things I have been hiding from all semester. It also, if I let it, will provide a new outlet for me. Working with people I have never met is exciting. Scary, yes, but it's a fresh start.
I was supposed to go home in a week. Instead, the playhouse called needing me to start rehearsals a week early. Fast changes and I do not mix well. I'm settled now, just angry that my last weekend in Salisbury (which should be a wasted one) is one of coughing and sniffing because I have a stupid cold. God I'm lucky, huh?
BUT- Jon Taylor and I are only working a half day today and then we're headed for Carowinds! I love it! I'm curious to see what the dips and turns will do to my exploding sinuses... could be nasty. But I'll get some sun and get to ride the rides! WOOOT.
