Update- including musings about DW and Shipwrecked!

So I just thought I'd update a bit coz I'm having a break from my English essay!
Beware spoilers for DW episode Partners in Crime (4x01)
so at the moment I'm attempting to write an essay about the position of women in Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. I actually love the play- which helps. But the essay is turning more into a rant about how women were treated in Elizabethan society than a literary critic which is not good. HELP!
So anyway away from that I've just finished watching Shipwrecked: Meet the Islanders. For those of you who don't know Shipwrecked is a reality show where a group of young people- often gap year students or people who just want a break from everything- go out to the pacific to 2 islands for about 6 months. They are split into 2 teams and compete against each other every week to win new arrivals for their tribe. The tribe with the most islanders at the end of the six months wins. Its as simple as that.
Now I'm totally addicted to this show. Last year I watched it obsessively and its kinda unfortunate that there are spin offs too like the hut-cam diaries- yes really- and its repeated a lot too so its just non-stop! So obviously it becomes very addictive!
So the show is starting tomorrow on T4 so today they had the meet the islanders special where we got to know everyone a bit- which was actually kinda interesting. From the looks of things its gonna be quite an interesting year this year. The people seem fun and interesting- apart from this guy from Sussex who seemed totally up himself. He said that he wanted to date girls who were thin- which is never a good way to endear yourself to me! but overall I'm looking forward to the show- I'll probably update tomorrow after the first show!
TONIGHT IS THE POMPEI EPISODE OF DOCTOR WHO! I'M SO EXCITED! LOL sorry just had to get that out of the way. But yeah I'm really excited. Looks like it should be good! I really enjoyed Partners in Crime last week- Donna and the doctor make a good team in my opinion. Loved her Grandad too- he was just too cool! I couldn't help thinking those adipose things were really really cute- but hey maybe I'm just weird. Oh talking of that you know you can buy knitted ones on eBay now! How totally hilarious is that?!
and also ROSE! I mean WHAT?! I was so shocked and excited at the same time! but the thing is she almost didn't look like she saw Donna and she looked really spaced out. My theory on this is that she didn't know that she was in our world at the time. I think there's some kind of crack between the two universes and that Rose came through for a small period but then faded away. but hey I'm excited to see what happens! can't wait!
