1st Day of College!!!

Today was my first day at RVCC. I was so nervous! All I thought about was going to that workshop at MCC with my English class last year and the professor saying, "That isn't a sentence!" I will never forget that. I still don't understand how it wasn't a sentence if it had a subject, an object, and a verb. Isn't that considered a sentence? Anyway, my first day of college wasn't like that, I didn't get told that I don't know how to write sentences. Today I had my first two classes, English and Precalc. My English professor seems very nice but stern. She was to the point. I liked that though she didn't sugar coat anything and basically told you what you have to do, no if ands or buts. I have a quiz on Monday and a paper due,exciting! My Precalc. professor on the other hand didn't even introduce himself. I'm still not sure what his name is. I should look at the schedule and find out,lol. In his class we just started taking notes. I think I have to get used to him because he didn't give off a very nice first impression. Besides all of that I still feel out of place. I know I belong there and shouldn't feel uncomfortable but I do. I guess this is the whole adjustment thing that I have to get used too. I'm finally not living in denial anymore and I realize that High School is actually over, all of us (friends <33) have gone in different directions, and life has changed. Not that change is a bad thing, but sort of an uncomfortable thing. Hopefully soon it will feel like nothing has changed and that I have been going to college for as long as I went to High School. Take today for example, I didn't talk to anyone which is an uncomfortable situation. Anyone who knows me knows that all I do is talk. I guess everyone felt uncomfortable and nervous. Hopefully things will get better. On a brighter note, I am looking forward to going to Sociology and Chemistry classes tomorrow. I hope Sociology is like how it was in High School. Everything just seemed so interesting, I couldn't wait to learn to see what happens next. I can't wait for Chemistry either! I love doing Stoichiometry,lol. I am going to do my English assignment and READ for my quiz on Monday.
