Close Encounters of the Lanky Kind
My friend and I were a house I had never seen before, but it was mine. We were standing in the dark in the living room which had wall-to-wall windows. My sister and her friend Katie were both sleeping on two separate wicker couches. My friend and I decided to go for a small walk around the neighborhood, so we went out the back, closed the door, then headed off for a while.
When we got back, we noticed that the door to the back was open. We stepped in and saw that my sister and Katie were still asleep. So I grabbed the closest weapon to me, which just happened to be a pencil. We cautiously looked around the house for anyone who broke in. I look out the window and see an alien being. It was muddy yellow in color with large dark eyes. It was a very thin being, and crawled on all four extended limbs. It took a few steps, then looked up at me with an evil grin.
I got scared and took a step back. I heard the floor behind me creak, so I turned around. There was another creature in the doorway grinning like the other, then crawled outside while pulling the door shut. My friend and I rushed outside to try to stop these creatures. When we got out, they were all jumping back into their ship. The ship looked like a conventional UFO, only tilted vertically with half of it stuck underground.
