The worst thing that could happen would occur in a few short days; the world would come to an end. No one knew how it would take place, but it was coming soon. So with the world in a panic 90% of the world's population abandons their homes, searching for a safe haven somewhere.
My un-named friend and I do the same. We pack up all we can, and put it in our car. Only our car wasn't a car, it was a motorized shopping cart. We drive for miles searching for safety, but with no luck. We eventually got to the southwest oil fields. But just like the shopping cart, there was no harvesting of oil, only harvesting of feathers; apparently this world relied on feathers as a fuel source.
Right at that moment, our shopping cart ran out of gas. We pulled over right next to one of the feather-pumps. Stranded in the southwest desert, we needed to find some way to get the feathers out of the pump. My friend finds some sort of lever with a verticle spout attached to it. He turns the lever, and a huge stream of white feathers shoot skyward. I grab a conveniently placed jumbo-sized pillowcase as he turns the feathers off. I wrap it around the spout and give him a signal. He turns the lever on, and I hold on for dear life. The stream of feathers is so powerful, it almost lifts me off the ground. After the pillowcase was filled, he shut off the stream, and we walked back to the cart. On the way back, I found a huge bundle of money sitting on top of part of the machine. So with the cart running on a full tank of feathers, only using half the pillowcase and with a huge sum of money with us, we head off again.
Hours later we arrive in a small neighborhood and decide to stop at one of the abandoned houses and look for supplies. We look around one of the houses for no more than three minutes and find nothing. Back to the cart we go, when we discover that our money along with our feathers had been stolen. I see a little kid a few hundred feet away running away from the scene of the crime on rollerskates. I then realized that this was the world-champion roller skater. We chase after him on magically appearing roller skates. Somehow we catch up to him and bring him to his mother for punishment. The seven foot tall woman, in roller skates as well, scolds him and gives us our things back. We head back to the cart, and drive off into the distance again.
