What did I do today?
Absolutely nothing... oh wait, i was working...yep, absolutely nothing...
What am I doing tomorrow?
Calling in sick and going for a job interview!
So Harry Potter came out this weekend (if you didn't know, you must be living under a rock) and no, I didn't go to any midnight release parties. We had to go to the lawyer's early on Saturday morning but it was worth it since next week on Monday we have an interview with the government so they can rest assured our marriage is valid. Best case scenario: Henry gets his 2 year conditional green card and in 2 years we have to go through an even more difficult situation to get his permanent green card. Worst case: they think we're a scam and we end up moving to Kenya a little earlier than planned... ;-) If he gets the conditional green card he can travel and get back in the US pretty easily. Also, after he gets it he can still apply for the permanent status on his own, God forbid anything should happen to me.
We were pretty busy this weekend so I didn't sit and read all of HP7. I'm kind of sad it's the last book and relieved at the same time because I like conclusions for some reason. I like the resolution of it all. I had a lot of time to read but I found other things to do too. I'm on about page 300 or so. I've heard some things about what happens but I don't think it's spoiled it for me since I enjoy the descriptions most of all. I've even gone and read a few paragraphs over again because I wanted to really get the image in my mind before moving on.
Other exciting news? Jen will be in California tonight! Honestly, it's amazed me how much I miss her. I think it's because no matter how much we argue or fight, and no matter how much she drives me crazy, she is one person that will always be constant in my life. This is a transitional time for me and friends are coming and leaving my life, but Jen will be there and I can call her just to chat or vent or whatever... she knows me better than most people and probably knows me more than anyone but myself sometimes. It's completely comforting and at the same time maddening :) Well thank God for her anyways.
Henry and I had a silly debate yesterday about whether or not to use a non-stick cooking spray when making
Ugali. In the end I think I won, since with the cooking spray the Ugali didn't stick to the pan and we didn't need to let it soak to get the pan to come completely clean. We were so serious about our convictions at the time but now looking back it seems so funny. I think I need to let him win a few now, men's egos are very delicate. It's a really yummy dish though that I think must be an acquired taste - it wasn't my favorite at first but now I crave it!
4:10pm - just 50 more minutes...just gotta make it 50 more minutes...
In other news, I'm going back being a brunette tonight - just for the heck of it.
