Spirituality tidbits...

Something has been whispering in the very back of my brain (ever since I gave up Wicca/Paganism) that I'm missing something. It's this little niggling in my mind that's whispering "Maybe you shouldn't have cut yourself off...maybe all of that did have some sort of realness to it...what's the harm of exploring it again...if it's not real, there's no ( Read more... )

You haven't written here in a while (which I can completely understand and relate to, because life takes a fast pace and usually leaves our internet world in the dust)

however, I wanted to say that -- we are hard wired for spirituality, and it is precisely those 'twinges', those feelings, that make us (especially women, though men can certainly have it too) who we are. Psychology is wonderful - it's a helpful tool.. but it is a tool. It cannot explain everything, because some things exist beyond words. If humanity were able to talk about everything, it would be a very orderly, cold universe. And as we know, it is not.

We have been taught to discard that which does not yield to logical reasoning -- that is an after effect of the extreme masculine energy present in our society. HOWEVER. We as women hold the torch for a different way of seeing, a different way of being, and if we can -relax- into that, then we can accept that we have a different modus operandi. We have a choice to acknowledge the unseen, to forgive what's crossed our path, and to choose self-love. Because we are the fairies, the Green God and Goddess, the nature, the winding path. We are those. Women feel that intimately.

It is not bad to acknowledge these urges. It goes against everything we've been taught (therefore it feels 'wrong'), but it is not bad. It is simply a formation of stars following us around. Honoring what is important for you, honoring those star studded lids of yours, honoring all that is sacred and holy is a GOOD thing. It is right to feel one with the universe, one with the earth, one with the sweet things in life. It doesn't have to be paganism, but it might lean in that direction. If it is, it is. If it's not (or that sounds like a scary thing at the moment), then it's not. Forget labels. Be who you are. And don't feel you have to explain yourself. Because you don't. You are who you are, and you're beautiful for it.
