Aboriginies debate storing nuclear waste on their lands. You know, because it's not kind of exploitative considering it was produced by white and Asian Australians probably on the east coast. And because it's not like it affects tribes on adjacent land that aren't receiving any money from it.
Putting it in a part of Northern Territory that undergoes earthquakes, though? That's just social engineering.
Also, Republican Senator Jim Bunning freezes unemployment payments for 2,000 construction workers. By himself. For those who don't know, Bunning is considered one of the weakest representatives in the entire Legislature, has (I think) the most missed votes, and only got in office because he used to play baseball (and he represents Kentucky). He's not running for re-election because even the Republicans want to get rid of him--apparently he only cares about bills if they're about baseball.
