It’s March and I thought I’d start by saying, “Happy March!” The past few weeks were extremely hectic and I’m seeing no light at the end of the tunnel. After returning from California work only picked up. I’m participating in a horribly planned project that has me thinking accountants developed the plan instead of first consulting those who will do the work. Its how business works; I’m not really complaining. I hope this doesn’t become the status quo for future projects; it gets tiring after awhile.
Tyler and Kylea are doing terrific in school! They are both reading extremely well with Tyler reading at or just above grade level and Kylea starting on first grade books. I can speak volumes at the respect and admiration I have for Tyler’s teachers. They’ve pulled him from a slump left over from kindergarten (I pass a lot of blame to his kindergarten), to conquering the hurdles of first grade, to where he can easily participate in class, answer questions correctly, and feel confident reading in front of his friends, peers, and family.
In twenty-eight days, I’ll be traveling across the pond. It won’t be for pleasure although I’ll take advantage of the evenings and weekends when I can. Instead of the customary two or three week notice, my company gave me a little over a week to be in Germany. Sadly, and with a minutia of sarcasm, I told them I couldn’t as my passport expired last August. The trip, now rescheduled for March 31, means I’m leaving for Düsseldorf, Germany, March 29. I’ve never been to Europe. It will be fun and exciting although I will miss Jessica and the children.
