I've spent the past couple hours debating whether or not to write about the results of the sleep study.  My personal feelings and how I'm to recollect the events of last night are forcing me to talk about something completely different: the $200 price drop on the iPhone.  Personally I feel Apple is making the right decision to lower the price but the timing is horrible and the iPhone is still stuck on AT&T's network.  This places the remaining 237 million people (based on AT&T's 63 million customers) in the US either a) locked in a contract they wish not to escape for financial reasons or b) unwilling to switch cellular carriers due to customer loyalty and excellent rate plans under their current contract.  Apple would've done good by keeping the iPhone neutral and allow customers to choose which cellular carrier they'd like to use.  I'm a T-Mobile customer and have been for some time.  Not only am I completely aware that their GSM network is nowhere close to the speed offered by Verizon or Sprint I simply don't care.  I use my phone to stay connected, occasionally surf the web, and text back and forth.  I'm not downloading music, watching television, or playing head-to-head games with other people; and who really cares about AT&T's Visual Voicemail.  Maybe I'm bitter, I'd love an iPhone but don't want to switch carriers.  I'm not about to get my hands dirty on a $400 phone to attempt to unlock it to allow my T-Mobile SIM to work in it.

Oh, and I have moderate to severe sleep apnea.
