It certainly was beautiful and while she's unsure how she arrived, she makes a note to venture around later to see the sights a little more closely. At least from what she has seen, it was one of those picturesque houses that she read about or only saw in paintings. Nothing she ever could imagine herself living in, but always secretly hoped she could find a happy ending to the war at home and have a house like the one before her.

Not yet looking through the window and more so wanting answers, she knocks on the door with the back of her hand, fiddling with the sleeves of her black sweater that hung off her shoulders, showing bare skin with a red ruffled skirt and her usual thigh high boots that doubled as her weapons. "H-Hello?"

The voice at his door is familiar and, if Saïx is entirely honest, it's not one he expected to hear. His contact with her has been infrequent ever since he left Ruby City and, if he isn't honest at all, her company isn't something he's missed. After a moment, he turns away from the window and slowly walks to the door.

Saïx opens it, and... yes. It is her.

... Ah.

"Good evening," he intones, looking down at her.

It seemed like a ghost from the past. Even in their short time together in the City, Lenalee had come to enjoy his company and adore him, despite the awkwardness that often came with the situations.

"Saix.." She breathed with amethyst eyes staring up at him once he opened the door. "I-Is it really you?"

Outwardly, Saïx does not react. Inwardly, he can't quite take in the fact that she's standing there on his porch. It isn't nearly the shock of finding Yako there, but...

"Of course," he says, voice even and detached as ever.

Some part of him wants to be sarcastic and say "Who else could it be?", but that automatically calls up memories of his otherself, and, well... That just makes it a poor choice of words. (He never wants the two to meet.)

[An invitation or welcoming isn't necessary for one who wanders where they please without regard for others. A man of identical appearance has slipped into that garden via a Dark Corridor; He has no interest in conversation, although it's probably difficult to hide his Presence - all Darkness and malice kept under wraps in a cocoon of indifference - from his alternate self. He's only there idly searching for something he doesn't believe exists.

It is said that curiosity killed the cat, but luckily, the cat has already been dead for quite some time, so it's willing to poke around for the Hell of it.]

apparently this thread is set at night. go figure bringthefates February 12 2011, 08:08:25 UTC
[Well, it exists. But how will you be able to tell which one is the one he spoke of? There is a cluster of flowers to your left that are a peculiar shade of purple, one that almost glows in the moonlight. There is a single flower to your right that stands on a tall stalk, almost reaching your shoulder, and each of its three petals are a different color (deep red, soft yellow, fluorescent orange). It continues on like that all through this part of the garden. Which one is it?

Saïx, meanwhile, is surprised to sense his other so near so soon. After their last... encounter, he would've thought that Psycho would stay away much longer. He does not immediately move out to the garden, waiting to see how long he would stay, but when the other does not leave, Saïx makes his way out of the house and into the backyard, intending to watch his other and see what he's doing.]

[... These plants are unfamiliar to him, and many seem nocturnal and feasting on the Moon. Briefly strolling about the garden while letting his senses glaze over plants here and there, he finds himself honestly lost as to which Sai could have been speaking about when all seem so similar. This acknowledgment leads him to stop even caring about the possibility of the specific plant's existence, and for a brief moment, half of him wants to leave, while the other half wants to ignite the garden in a destructive torrent of moonfire. Relishing the screams of something dying would be blissfully refreshing.

He almost commits the latter when he lifts a hand over a flower and the magic rises to his fingertips... But, instead he merely lets his hand hover there directly above the petals, the blue sheen of moonfire remaining controlled and low, as if he were feeding the flower. If he's aware of Sai's approach - which he undoubtedly is - he doesn't show it.

His face remains dreadfully expressionless.]

[But he is feeding the flower. It, once only partially open, turns towards the moonfire, the layers of petals unfolding to fully bloom.]

[Saïx continues to watch, but does not approach. Psycho would still be... displeased with him, and so he isn't sure how close he would be allowed to come.]

You found it.

[Once his shifts in the comms are over, Cefca washes off his stage make up and puts on something more comfortable than his old uniform. It's nice, making cameos, but it's kept him so busy this past few...however long it was. Time stretches through posts like a cat, looking shorter than it really is until you give it a close look and you get bopped on the nose and then have to feed the cat and this metaphor's getting away with him, isn't it?]

[Anyway! Anyway. Once he's done and in clothes that are a little too large but comfortable, Cefca packs up some cookies, some treats for Saix's dog, and a few music records and uses a chimera wing to zoom from the studio to Saix's house. He's still not the most used to Dragon Quest items, but they make his life a lot easier.]

[And once he's there, he walks up to the door and knocks.]

[Ralse is sleeping on the porch, his head on his paws, when Cefca walks up the porch stairs. His ears twitch and he looks up. The strange little man certainly smells familiar, but... Ralse isn't sure he can place it. He growls just in case.

Saïx senses Cefca as soon as he appears, and is just recovering from the surprise when he hears Ralse. That may be problematic, he thinks as he makes his way to the door. By the time he opens it, Ralse is standing and eying Cefca suspiciously.]

Hello, inhan. [He gives Ralse a Look, and the mastiff huffs and lays back down.]

Hello, Saix!

[He shifts his boxes of cookies and fresh meat and other goodies to one hand, balanced on his hip, while he salutes with the other hand. Saix's house smells like nice things, feels like nice things, the cool-feather touch of moon magic, and just being near here is relaxing.]

Can I come in? I brought some snacks for us and for his fuzzy highness in the corner.

[Yes, that means Ralse. It's said with love.]

[... Why the salute?]

Of course. [Saïx steps back so Cefca can get in.]

Rylee's magic suitably stands out like a beacon. Her light (or is "her Light" more appropriate?) is... unique. Due to its nature, her Light isn't entirely like the light from his universe. It makes her easy to recognize, even from afar. Before she even knocks on the door, Saïx can sense her coming near. Still, he remained by the window, only moving to the door after she knocks.

"Good evening," he says, inclining his head. His tone is calm and even, and his face is stoic but relaxed; everything that, in his eyes, represents his well-being.

When was the last time he saw Rylee...? He's not quite sure he remembers. After the... incident that led to his attachment to dogs, Saïx thinks they have interacted a few times, but they were light-hearted encounters and brief. But he isn't unhappy to see her; despite the sporadic nature of their meetings, they were still... heavy. Heavy with meaning, heavy with forming bonds.

There is a reason why she has a place in the sky of Saïx's mind. There is a reason she is the north star.

Saïx quirks an eyebrow.

"So I can see," he says, slower than his usual speed of speech.

Oh, he gets the joke. He's just not going to otherwise react to or comment on it (just yet, anyway).

[He's not sure why he's here. Maybe because he actually likes the guy, maybe because he might owe the guy his life, but whatever. He's here and that's what matters. Still, it makes knocking on the damn door hard. It takes a moment, but he finally does it. Just a very simple three knocks.]

...The hell am I doing?

[There's a long moment before the door opens. Saïx blinks once, twice, but doesn't really seem surprised. Inwardly, he's actually... glad. But he isn't going to show or admit it.]

Good evening.
