it's over.
msms competitive cheer 06-07 =[
this is my life,
and now i don't know what to do with my time.

we had our banquet tonight. everyone cried.
we played the dvd of the 1181 pictures i took.
the girls wrote speeches, and gave us presents.
shelly's family gave me roses.
parents hugged me & said "you better stick around for a while".
girls called me their big sister.
i'm entirely too sad to see this go.
i cannot wait until next season.

don't mind the middle school grammar.
speech for shell & i given tonight:

Reality has like, officially hit us now. Nothing could ever make us feel so sad, we don't think. Knowing what you've put in to the last few months [like all of our friendships, accomplishing things we could have only imagined doing, and basically surrounding your life with cheerleading] and suddenly having it all come to an end isn't something that will be easy to let go or get over. Going to school and not having to go to cheerleading practice will be extremely weird. We think we have probably destroyed our social lives now. Throughout this whole season, there have been many many times when we did NOT want to come to practice. We felt like we wanted to be somewhere else, with our friends, hanging out. It took up like a huge chunk of our lives, and we were right. Doing competitive cheer has a humungous impact on your life, and you have to be 100% dedicated. It's nothing that is just handed to you; it's all in what you do for yourself, and how hard you want to work for it, not just as a cheerleader but as a person. We never imagined that we would feel so sad and depressed when the season ended. We knew we would probably be a little sad, and maybe shed a tear, but we were definitely wrong. We have made some of the best friends at cheerleading and had some of the best times. We probably never would have heard of a girl named Espo, who is absolutely crazy, or anyone named Mariah Girl who has hairy eyelids. The most amazing person we have ever met in our lives was Amanda. Besides Lauren's aunt ShellBell, she is one of the best coaches and friends you could ever imagine having. Knowing that we probably won't see her often, or every Friday night when we eat manwhiches & taco salad at Shelly's, we will most likely cry often. We will miss her a lot. Basically what we are trying to say is that we may have had to pass up some opportunities to hang out with friends, and had to come work our butts off, but no feeling could ever top being at cheerleading or the competitions. We love and will miss every one on this team. Good job this year, ladies.
