Bourbon Legacy: 1.0
So! I'm taking part in the Viking Death Squad Legacy Challenge over at pixel_trade (and so should you :D). I've played legacies before but I've never posted them, so please bear with me. :P This update is mainly pictures, also.
Above is our founder, Pearl Bourbon (created by simpurity). She is a Romance Sim and a Virgo! Her LTW is to become a Celebrity Chef.
I stuck her on a beach lot, which left me with $8000 for building and decorating! The waves and the sandcastles are worth it, though. :P
Onto this week's mini-challenge: I rolled 3-4:
Can't Catch a Break: your sims' worst fears are realised. Attempt to fulfill as many fears for each sim every single day as possible.
Oh, poor thing. :( This is not going to be a fun week for her.
One of her fears was to be rejected for a flirt, so I sent her out to get rejected by Amy, the papergirl.
Pearl: So, baby, I haven't seen you around-
Amy: I DON'T THINK SO.
Being rejected for a flirt again...right after being rejected for WooHoo.
Pearl shooed Amy off the lot, found a job in her LTW career path, and then sat down to read the paper, forgetting all about the TV dinner she'd just stuck in the oven. -_-
Pearl: My Salisbury steak! D:
In an attempt to cheer her up, I had Pearl befriend Noodle, a cat that wandered onto the lot. :D
Unfortunately, Noodle is kind of an asshole.
And he lives here now. On the bright side, challenge-wise, five of Pearl's fears have been fulfilled, and the welcome wagon hasn't even arrived! :D I feel terrible.
Marta Deline (with a haircut and completely different clothes than I thought I townified her in o_o) (rikkulidea), Goldie Laburnum (bondchick_nett), and Asparagus Crayola (leenyland)! Despite all of Asparagus and Pearl's flirting, they only had one bolt.
I now proudly present some Sensible Hue Behr (bondchick_nett) spam:
He is one of my favourite Sims...unfortunately, he and Pearl had negative chemistry. How can you not love him, Pearl!? Look at that face!
Around sunset, an evil witch (...her name is Lainey) came by. She and Pearl have two bolts, and flirted and chatted the entire evening...
...So, that night, Pearl asked Lainey to teach her the PATH OF DARKNESS! >:)
She doesn't look very evil right now, but we can work on that.
I had her change back into her regular clothes, just as Share Bear Carebear (quellasims ) walked by! :D And...they have two bolts!
Pearl really, reeeeeeeeeally likes him.
...Share Bear really likes Noodle.
Share Bear: Did you come to give me kisses?
Share Bear: Who is the most handsome prince? :D
Share Bear: You and I should go on a picnic!**

**Please tell me I'm not the only one who has seen the cat food commercial that this is from. I die laughing every time I see it.
He is not immune to Pearl's grace and charm and moves in that night. Pearl is thrilled...Noodle is not.
His LTW is to become a Business Tycoon...and he brought $14 000 with him!
I was going to wait until Pearl rolled the fear of getting engaged, but I felt bad about the day she'd had...so I went ahead with it:
I personally think it would have been more romantic without her having that eye twitch, but he said yes, so she must have done something right. :P
They had a very simple outdoor ceremony on the front lawn. Here's Pearl, working on looking evil and regretting saying 'I do'.
Generation 2 is growing as we speak. :D
She kept rolling the fear of throwing up...and kept throwing up.
Share Bear can usually be found on the beach.
Share Bear: Why do I even have a stupid job!? >:|
...And he returns.
Share Bear: I love my job! :D
Try as I might, I couldn't fulfill ONE of his fears. :| They all had to do with getting rejected for a kiss/backrub/etc from Pearl, and I couldn't get their relationship down low enough for her to start rejecting him because they CANNOT KEEP THEIR HANDS OFF OF ONE ANOTHER. So he had a pretty good week. :D
NO MUGGLES ALLOWED!
Let's invest.
O_O I am basically phobic of ants. Share Bear deserved to lose that money for getting involved with a company that would sell ant toys for toddlers! Ants...bleh.
Pop #1! This is the most she'd been out of bed all day. Pregnancy is hard on her.
She can walk to work, but her motives were just so low that it was easier to keep her home than to have her pass out on the lawn upon arriving home for the evening. :P
She spent most of her time off at the beach...
...playing video games with Share Bear...
...exploring the shopping district that they live in (Vikingland :D)...
...and being one half of a cute couple.
Well, it seems I don't have a picture of her second pop. Straight to the birth!
Where is the other half of this cute couple during all this, the birth of their first child, you ask...?
Where else. -_- Eventually he came inside...stripped naked...and waited for WooHoo. While his wife was giving birth.
I like to live dangerously.
Only one! It's a boy, with Pearl's skintone and Share Bear's hair colour and eyes. His name is Alastair. My naming theme is characters from Supernatural, one of my favourite shows (PS: If you like the show, watch out when reading the Supernatural Wiki that I linked to. I don't want to lead anyone right to spoilers! D:).
...Uh oh. 'Have a baby' was one of her biggest fears. Alastair has been placed on the floor so his mother can have a mental breakdown, while his father (temporarily clothed once again) watches on.
Ah, sanity and order are restored.
Share Bear: Are we going to WooHoo or what!? >:|

PS: I Googled 'Pearl Bourbon' to see if anyone had her name, or if there was a type of bourbon called Pearl Bourbon or something (...I couldn't sleep last night; Google helps me pass the time). I didn't find anyone named Pearl Bourbon...but apparently, the Bourbon Pearl is "an Ulstein Verft designed P105, diesel electric, DPII, multipurpose subsea services and platform supply vessel". My founder is a boat.
