okay, shout out to holland.
they drink tea the yummiest way (little milk, mucho sugar), love them some tulips, have the yummiest form of doughnut, and have highly entertaining floral advice. i found a flower FAQ book at work, and, since there was absolutely nothing to do (like actually. plus, i was tired. i scrubbed the floors with a toilet brush and old dutch (also, thank you, holland, for your cleaning powers of clean), i read the book.
- is drinking coffee or tea with flower food in it bad for you?
- is drinking used vase water bad?
- why shouldn't you burn the stems of your flowers?
- why shouldn't you hammer the stems? (with a lovely photo caption reading 'do you want to be treated like this?')
- and regarding hairdryers, 'let the wind blow through your hair and not through your flowers'
hey, maybe i'm the only one who finds these funny. but hell, when you've spent 2 hours scrubbing floors with a fucking toilet brush, watching paint dry would be entertaining. i even considered painting a wall before i found the book. seriously. that bored.
