7/8/06 5:19 pm Nice time, Saturday
Woke up feeling sick. My throat kind of hurts, and I have no way of preventing it besides drinking orange juice and getting sleep. Unfortunately, the flamenco night is coming up so I might want to miss sleep for that. Breakfast was rather small. A croissant and what resembled coco krispies. We had a two hour bus ride to Avignon. It was hot, but also windy. We had some free time at the front, and a group and I went to shop, find bathrooms and eat. I had a nutella crepe, and it was good. We eventually made it to the Popes’ Palace. It was pretty interesting, but not as much as the other places we visited. They needed me to check my bag, so I took everything out of it first. After the tour was over we returned to the bus and began heading toward the Pont-du-Guard.
I forgot to mention that we stopped at a perfume shop. It was interesting to learn how different perfumes were made. I bought some soaps for my mother and sister. I don’t know what to get my grandparents.
We arrived at the Pont-du-Guard. It was impressive. We walked onto it and looked down upon the people swimming in the water. Afterwards, I bought a shirt, so I could have one from France. At the hotel, Jeremy and I got our room first number 59. The last one was 225 and the one before that 120. I had dinner with Jessica, Nikki, Christine, Katie and Melissa. I used the bread to make fish sandwiches and took some oranges back to the room for Vitamin C. I have eaten 2 of them. Katie and Melissa with two of their friends came along and started talking. I let them listen to some of my music. Mar and Molly walked by, which was kind of funny. The girls left to take care of a medical problem. Later, a group consisting of Indiana girls and Venice girls came and hung out in my room while I was eating the oranges. Ms. Kraft and Elias walked by and forced them to get out. Jeremy returned and stayed to avoid the girl who is stalking him.
