Haven't been on LJ recently. Internet has been broken for a while and my roommate finally got it fixed.

Anyway, has anyone ever heard of the book "Eat Right For Your Blood Type" It talks about how each blood type needs different foods to thrive and to stay healthy. ( http://www.drlam.com/blood_type_diet/ ) that is the website if anyone wants to see what there's is. Anyway, I am O+ meaning to be "healthy" I need to eat Red Meat, Chicken, and Fish, and I should try to stay away from grains and legumes.

As most of you know I have been vegetarian for years. I haven't touched a piece of red meat in YEARS, and preferably I would like to stay vegetarian.

For the past 3 months now I have been really sick. What started out with a kidney infection that wouldn't go away, has turned into me just having problems with my body. The doctor says my kidneys are still showing signs of being sick, and I just can't seem to get them better no matter what I do.

This brings me to before Christmas when my boyfriend's mom has a Christmas party. I met this guy Eddie(who was the one who originally told me about this book) who had a son who was very ill and had a very low white blood cell count. The doctors wanted to keep him in the hospital and pump him full of drugs, but his parents didn't want to put him through that so the doctor recommended that book, just to see if it could help his diet. The son's blood type was also O+. His parents did what the book said and fed him a piece of steak every other day for two weeks, and sure enough his white blood cell count returned to normal by the second week.

I've done some research on this book and have heard many stories that make me want to start eating meat just so I can get my health back, however what if it won't work for me? I would prefer to stay vegetarian.

Anyway, has anyone heard anything about these studies? I need more input to make my final decision.
