R.S. - Random Stephenisms
Spiritual Introspection:
So... how am I doing, I wonder. St. Peter and I have a lot talk about before I get in, I think.
1. "I am the Lord your God, You shall have no other gods before me." - I believe in one god that watches over the universe. I believe we are of him, and he(she) is of us. That doesn't really mean I believe in the Bible word for word, or the Christian view of it... but at it's core. Yeah. I'm ok here. Ish.
2. "You shall not make for yourself an idol." - I make art, not idols.
3. "Do not take the name of the Lord in vain." - I'm usually pretty good on this one. I've had shakey moments, but over all ok.
4. "Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy." - Ok. Sunday? Is the most hated day of the week for me. But it's not my fault.
5. "Honor your father and mother." - I try. I really really do. I hope I get points for that.
6. "You shall not kill/murder" - Other than many misquotes... I'm good here.
7. "You shall not commit adultery" - Not guilty.... However... see #10.
8. "You shall not steal." - Not guilty.
9. "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor" - If I have, I've never meant to. Honesty really is the best policy.
10 ."You shall not covet‡ your neighbor's wife" - Guilty. Like... a lot. Out of the 10, this is the one that makes me a hypocrite. I'll fess up to it, but I won't change. My heart won't let me.
