-I will have a pet mongoose, and yes, he will be named Riki. I've given up on the whole "African Grey Parrot" quest that I've been on since age 9; I'm convinced that it just can't happen. Although it would have been nice to have had someone to talk to when I'm bored..meh, whatever, I'm over it. A mongoose seems doable, though. Truthfully, I'm not even sure if they are legal here in the US..which leads to my second bullet point:
-Almost exactly one year from now, I will be in Brazil. Hopefully indefinitely. Here's your warning.
-No SWC, no Sound and Fury, no wings to speak of. This August will seem very grounded and dreadfully empty. I've gotta find something to fill it.
-The highly-anticipated York St. barbecue (and nap session) last night was a blast. As a related aside, I think I will start taking cooking a bit more seriously.
-Apparently, I've got the 'Peter Pan complex.' I think I'm alright with that:
