After Italy won the 2006 Fifa World Cup, Marcelo Lippi resigned as head coach of Gli Azzurri. Newcomer Roberto Donadoni steps up to coach the team. According to my information, he had no experience coaching the national level. Well the first two games for the Euro qualifying cup didn't go so well. Yet the past two games, especially the one today against Georgia (3-1), he has done fairly well. Even though it appears Alberto Gilardino has been dropped (I have no idea how the workings of politics works), good for them.
