The summer is almost over. In a week or two, it will be August. In a few more weeks, it will be time to start classes for the new semester. And what I have done?
Well, I worked. I've worked a lot. I broke my passenger side mirror and I am still waiting for it get replaced because we got sent the wrong type of mirror. I found out that my loans and grant cover all my tuition and I'm paying for all my books: this makes me feel independent because I am paying for my entire education this year. I've started a butt load of books I still have yet to finish before the semester including the new Harry Potter book I just got today. And I've worked.
What is the defining moment of my summer? Work. Work has let me grow as a person and I've learned a lot about alcohol and mixed drinks. I learned that health inspectors seem a bit up tight and life could always be a bit worse.
I want to do more than work. There is still a little time left in the summer. I haven't taken a day for myself like going to the beach or something. I want to go down to the Outer Banks just for a day. Maybe to pull me out of this funk I've been in since July started.
It is always something that needs to get done. Today: work and tomorrow, work. Oh no, tomorrow night is wrestling night...
