I'm noting this here strictly for myself so that years from now when I go back and sift through archived LJ entries just to laugh, Ill see this and do a little happy dance of "I saw that coming".

Emily in the future, give yourself a fucking high-five for calling this one. Weak-minded and laughably tragic. People that eat, sleep and breathe pedantic words and making martyrs of themselves for the attention. God I love it. Love it. Love it. Love it. Remolding themselves, changing and the pretense of those changes.
At least you, future Emily, are elsewhere. No more lamenting, nothing. The only thing you regret now is the wasted time and energy. I hope future Emily regrets nothing. Sees it for the harsh lesson it was, but a lesson nonetheless!
