Aya is practically boucing as she scans the courtyard at school for Ginta. It's visiting day, and she is looking forward to showing him off.

Ginta was waiting by the fountain in the middle of the main walkway leading to the school and making a valiant effort not to fidget too much with the uniform he was wearing. Apparently it was school policy that all visitors under a certain age must follow the school dress code to the letter. Really, he had lucked out because, though it was a loan, it fit fine... he was just completely unused to it.

He looks up from his not-fidgeting and manages to spot the bouncing Aya ahead. He trots over, trying not to go too fast since running outside of P.E. was against school policy. It occured to him that this place had a lot of weird rules to follow.

"Hey, Aya! I hope I'm not too late."

Public displays of affection are also against school rules but that in know way stops Aya from trying to pull Ginta into tight hug and giving him a kiss.

"You're perfect. And you look amazing. Unlike every other guy at school, you make this look good."

Some students turn and whisper, but they turn around and walk away. Aya either appears to not notice or not care.

Ginta completely trusts that Aya knows what she's doing since this is her turf. As such he returns the PDA quite readily.

The youkai can't help but blush a bit at the compliment and rub at the back of his neck nervously. "Heh, thanks. I couldn't help feeling a little silly so I'm glad you think I don't look too obviously out of place as is."

By the time Ginta is able to focus on their surroundings and other things that are not-Aya most of the students around them have started walking elsewhere. He links arms with Aya and starts following the general flow of the direction of the crowd. "So, where to?"

"I have some time before class starts. I'd like to show you around." She leers. "And show you off."

The building that the main path leads to is the largest. To Aya, it always resembles the central tower of a fortress.

Ginta is torn between being amused by that look, being very afraid for what trouble it fortells of for this outing, and being... something else entirely about it. O hay, that's a nice building there, let's walk a little faster towards it.

"It's... I like that you wanna show me off. Makes me feel like you're proud of me. I mean, I know you've said that before but... Heh." He shrugs. "I dunno what I'm trying to say." It seems the unfamiliar setting of the school is bringing out Ginta's tendency to ramble when nervous.

At this point they'd already entered the wide double doors at the school entrance and a vast corridor of polished linoleum lay before them.

"Wow... this place is just as big from the inside as it looks from the outside."

Aya nuzzles him and leans in to whispher in his ear. "Believe me, proud doesn't --" She pulls away.

"Oh, hello, Mr. Midorikawa." She smiles and bows to the young teacher who looks at them with a bemused expression. “I'm honored to introduce Wakatsuki Ginta.”

The smile she is wearing when she turns back to Ginta the 'professional' version of her smile which he might only recognize as being less than genuine for having seen so many real ones. “Mr. Midorikawa teaches German here at Koua Academy,” she informs Ginta.

“Hmm... I didn't think I'd ever get meet your young man.” Mr. Midorikawa's tone and smile are superior and still somewhat sleazy. “It's a pleasure, Mr. Wakatsuki.”

Ginta picks up on both Midorikawa's sleazy vibes and the dropping of Aya's casual nature. It's possible that the impression he's getting is wrong but his smile still might look a little pasted on since he's trying to keep his suspicion off of his face. Maybe the teacher won't notice if he keeps moving. Time to bow.

"Greetings, Mr. Midorikawa, and likewise."

Once the teacher seems satisfied he walks on, leaving Ginta and Aya to confer in low tones. "So... What's that guy's story?"

"He's a very good teacher. His students can never get away with anything. He knows every trick, but--" She makes a face that means I wouldn't want to be alone with him.

She sees some friends and hurries to catch up. She and a young girl Aya calls Hana. Aya and Hana makes high pitched girly squeals. The young man with Hana offers a conspiratorial sympathetic look to Ginta.

"Oh, is this Ginta? He's cute," Hana comments as though she were talking about a puppy.

"Ginta, this is Kyo," Hana tells him, proud of her possession.

"Hey," Kyo says. He shrugs. Girls. What can you do about 'em.

He grimaces at the face and has to surpress a sudden wave of protectiveness before noticing that Aya has shot after her friends. He scurries after to make sure he's not left behind ( ... )

"I had to," Kyo answers. He turns to Ginta. "She keeps getting herself in trouble."

"Hey!" Hana mock-punches Kyo in the ribs. Kyo just smiles at her.

"Kyo is the head of our soccer team," Aya tells Ginta with same gravity as if she were introducing the prime minister.

Kyo looks slightly bemused and even embarrassed by this.

Ginta can't help but burst into loud laughter at that line. The two teens look at him a little oddly since it wasnt really that funny. Once he notices the youkai clears his throat and replies sheepishly. "I, uh, know the feeling. Heh."

Oh, soccer. She says that like it's something he should know... it's a game, right? Is it the one where you hit the ball with the stick? He can never keep all the names straight. Best to go with the smile and nod approach and throw in some vague praise.

"Wow, that sounds like quite an accomplishment. What part of the game are you best at?"

Because if you tell him that maybe his memory will click. That's the theory he's working with, anyway.

Kyo gives Ginta a little private smile, like they are sharing a joke.

"They part where you get the ball into the other team's goal," Kyo answers.

Ginta is pretty sure he gets the joke and returns the smile.

As far as getting anything else... that explaination doesn't help him at all, considering how vague that is and how many games it could apply to. Ginta half wonders if Kyo is on to him but keeps smiling. "Oh, well, of course! That's kind of what everything hinges on, doesn't it?"

He's just about to change the subject in order to steer attention away from his ignorance of it when someone shouts from behind them. "Hey, Fujimiya! Who's the gray guy you got with you?" A tall girl with fly away chestnut hair drapes one arm around Aya's shoulder and punches her upper arm with the other.

Kyo likewise wonders if Ginta is making a joke that's over his head.

Aya smiles showing slightly more teeth than usual. "Rin this is Ginta, Ginta Rin."

"This is the boy, huh?" Rin cocks her head and grins. "How'd'ya like the school so far?"

Ah, the joys of miscommunication~

"Ah, pretty well, so far. The building itself is a lot bigger than what I'm used to."

"Oh?" Rin raised an eyebrow at that. "It's not really that much bigger than any other school in Tokyo. Are you a country boy, or something, that things are that much smaller."

"Ah... you could say that, yeah!" That actually fit the pack way of life pretty well, so he decided to go with it.

Additional awkward questions are cut off by the tolling of a bell in the central courtyard. Aya ducks from under Rin's arm.

"Talk to you later."

"Yeah, it was nice meeting you."

"See you guys at lunch."

The students disperse and Aya seems relieved to be alone with Ginta again.

Everyone, teachers and students seem to be rushing to get to class.

Aya turns a bright smile toward Ginta.

"Follow me," she requests, tilting her head toward the stairs.
