Aya was always nervous to have friends from the Nexus see her new home. It was so much smaller and dingier than her place in the Nexus. She knew that X had been fond of her garden.

She took the pie out of the oven and put it on the counter to cool. There. Everything was ready for her guest to arrive.

Since the weather was turning colder, X chose to wear comfortable blue jeans, a long-sleeved shirt, and a light jacket. He arrived by PINpoint to the coordinates Aya had provided. He took a moment to glance around and get his bearings to see where he'd arrived.

Aya's apartment was behind the Kitten in the House flower shop in the heart of Tokyo. Aya trusts X enough to give him the coordinates for inside the apartment, so if he follows the coordinates he gave her he will arrive inside a small western style kitchen.

And X is indeed inside a small western style kitchen. The next thing he notices is the scent of freshly baked pie filling the kitchen. X smiles a little, though he doesn't think she needed to go to so much trouble for him. However, he doesn't see Aya at first, so he calls out. "Hello? Aya?"

Aya hears X and runs in from in from the living room when she hears X call. She goes to him a hug.

“You’re right on time, as always.” There is an eclectic selection of food on the table: spicy fried eggplant and white rice, tamales and sweet chicken and orange salad among other things.

Waking up from her coma effected her memory, and she cannot remember what X likes, and she will not ask because that would be rude.

“Thank you so much for coming.”

X smiles and returns the hug. "Thank you for inviting me, Aya. I hope you didn't go to too much trouble?" X is not aware she has lost some of her memories and would be sorry to hear so. She wouldn't be the first friend of his to have memory loss problems.

"This looks delicious, Aya. Thank you." X likes a wide variety of foods, so she'd have trouble finding something he didn't like or wouldn't try. And if by some chance she did, he wouldn't mention it. It'd be rude to do so after all the trouble she went through to prepare it for him.

She smiles and shakes her head.

"I can't tell you how much I've missed cooking for my friends. Would you like to eat first or would you like me to show you around?"

"You can show me around if you like." X smiles at her enthusiasm.

Aya reaches out to take him by the hand into a small living room with a loveseat and sofa.

"It's smaller than my home in the Nexus. My big brother used to live here."

She think the apartment used to belong to her brother more than makes up for anything it could be lacking.

X lets her lead him around the small apartment. "It's hard to find a big place in the middle of a large city. Did your brother move out?"

“His job reassigned him. He travels all over Japan in a van now. Poor Ran. He‘s much too tall and too solitary to be comfortable there.”

[_megaman_x]

"He lives out of a van now? That can't be too comfortable, even if he was short." X tilted his head a little. "Do you two stay in touch? It must be difficult for him to visit often."

[dream_departed]

"I don't get to see him as often as I'd like."

Suddenly the apartment feels very cramped and small.

"You haven't seen Tokyo in this time have you? I think dinner would be keep if we went out for awhile."

She smiles. "Do you trust me?"

X smiles back. "Of course I trust you." He had no reason not to, after all. "And no, I haven't seen Tokyo in this time before."

((I'm sorry my timing has been so bad. I was just going to sleep. I will have to reply tomorrow.))

((That's okay. My timing has been pretty bad myself, lately. Whenever you have time to continue is fine. ^^))

"Wonderful." She fusses in the kitchen, arranging things so the meal will just need to be heated up when they get back.

She puts on her coat and pulls her hair free of the collar.

"Lets go."

She holds the door open for X.
