When I came back from spending the day with Ginta the guards were gone and Ran was sitting on my bed looking at one of my manga. I was so shocked I couldn't move. He stood up and apologized for coming in my room without me there. That finally made me able to move and I hugged him and told him he come into my room any time he wanted to ( Read more... )

I'm all right, although I had to break up with Kazuo. He started to look into my past too deeply and dug up that I'd faked my death. If I'd stayed with him, he would have kept going despite my protests and found out things he... might not have survived learning. So I broke up with him for his own safety. I'm sorry that you won't get to meet him after all.

...maybe not. But it was... foolhardy of me to become involved with someone outside the business. How else can it eventually end? I can't keep secrets from someone I claimed to love forever and disclosure would get that person killed.

One of the Yohjis here has been... very kind, but I haven't seen him in a while. In any case, I worry that I'm not appreciating him for who he is, just for a Yohji. He's so close in some ways, and it's like I already know him. I distrust that for how easy it is and how lazy it might make me for trying to see him as the person he actually is.
