The Pants Sturm und Drang
Today I took 5 pairs of pants to the tailor to get mended. Of which 3 had crotches or bottoms ripped. The rest were the hems on my right pant leg side that consistently come undone.
Normally I would mend them myself but clearly that has NOT been working. I had a 10% off coupon for Y & Y tailor on 2nd so I am giving my garments up to more capable hands. Tim Gunn would be proud. But he would also tell me to buy my pants somewhere else if they keep coming apart in the same places. lol!
I am wearing a two weeks new pair of pants today and the hem on the right side just gave out.
???
What? Am I doing. To my Clothes? I mean, I know they're just clothes and they get worn and tear and break and are impermanent and all that good stuff. But this is a little excessive. Also these are work pants I totally sent some serious $$ on because I knew I would be wearing them everyday and wanted them to last a long time and be fabulous.
Am I wearing my clothing weirdly? Perhaps I should wear more polyester spandex blends and less cotton? I know not.
To Do: Find a work pant that can withstand the barbarous conditions I will apparently put it through. Or alternatively employ a mystical elven creature who can create pants made of indestructible materials such as: dragon scales, elven armor and such like.
Because seriously: 6 out of 8 pants dont lie.
