My day, personified.
Me: Whoa...hello Emotional Roller Coaster Monday. Fancy seeing you here.
Emotional Roller Coaster Monday: Hey brah. Wasssup?! I am so totes gonna ROCK YOUR SHIT!!
Me: Yeh...hey out of curiousity, it kind of feels like you're a harbringer of major changes in my life...
Emotional Roller Coaster Monday: Dude! I can, like, neither confirm nor deny. That would be so...um...whats the phrase? Oh! Ya, brah, it would be SO out of character. You wanna go catch some mad swells tho?
Me: *sigh* Swells? Um, we live in Colorado. You know, that landlocked state right next to Kansas? Rocky Mountain High? Flannel bearded mountain men? Snow capped mountains, arid desert, Queen city of the plains? Any of this sound familiar?
Emotional Roller Coaster Monday: You so totally need to chill out my brah. Listen, you just gotta ride me out right? Thats all I'm sayin'.

May I suggest to you AVOIDING AT ALL COSTS trying to buy your own health insurance. Seriously. I am getting some real rough first hand experience in the craziness that is our crappy healthcare system. Also if McCain somehow miraculously wins this election - his plan of taking healthcare away from employers and giving everyone vouchers is going to leave the majority of this country completely uninsured because of a little thing called the "pre-existing condition". The pre-existing condition renders you uninsurable as an individual READ: No insurance will take you on by yourself. The pre-exisiting condition covers a broad range of conditions, diseases, and diagnoses - and here's the kicker: you wont know if you fall under it until you apply for healthcare and your medical records are examined.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
In other news - though I have seen the grim and dark face of shopping for health insurance on one's own - I have the good fortune to have parents who really know how to work the healthcare system. I might be paying a really exorbitent amount for health insurance coming up here pretty soon (depending on many factors), but at least I'll be insured (or so we hope) AND whats more...I'll be following my heart and my dreams. Damn risky dreams, they're mighty costly.
In short:
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
Sclemeel, schlemazel, hasenfeffer incorporated.
We're gonna do it!
Give us any chance, we'll take it.
Give us any rule, we'll break it.
We're gonna make our dreams come true.
Doin' it our way!
Nothin's gonna turn us back now,
Straight ahead and on the track now.
We're gonna make our dreams come true,
Doin' it our way!
Yup.
