Its beginning to feel real. Like I really am about to travel overseas!
My emotions and energy levels are still going up and down like a yo-yo - but I feel generally positive. I must admit I was literally bouncing up and down at work yesterday, giddy at the thought of being free of that burden for 8 weeks. I'm beginning to think I might need to seek a new challenge upon my return though.
My car is still full of Melle's possessions. I have moved one car load of stuff to her sister's place, but I still have another lot of belongings that must be out of my car by Tuesday.
Last night I joined Emma at La Mama. She invited me to see a performance of 3 pieces of Roulette, a 12 part play. It was close and intimate, though not as polished as I may have hoped. I think the direction was off, but most of the actors did well within that limitation. Afterwards we had dinner on Lygon St and Emma is a delightful young lady. I will miss her the next 8 weeks.
The anticipation is building. I am a little nervous. Maybe a little eager to leave as well.
