Game on!

So. My fabulous Netgear wireless network adapter has been out of whack for a while, and giving it more whack has done nothing. A few days ago, it finally crapped the bed, falling off the back of my desk and snapping the antenna. Okay, no big deal. I have money, I'll go to the store and get a more reliable one. $60 for a US Robotics adapter, very professional-looking. Home, install, connect...nothin'. Two days of fighting with this thing--changing all kinds of settings on my computer, the computer upstairs, fiddling with wires, reading instructions--until I was forced to concede defeat. Went back and got a Belkin, slightly cheaper and more professional. Same results, though. Before I started performing "percussive maintenance" on my computer, Marc found a 50-ft Ethernet cable, drilled a hole in the floor, and now I'm connected directly to the Internet.

Fan-freakin'-TASTIC.

Now I'm online again. So much to write about, but not right now. I have to work on a project for theater. We're doing monologues, and I decided today that it would be hilarious if I acted out the song "Detachable Penis" by King Missile. So I have to type and stage it. Later.
