Fix me, I'm broke

It's been over a week since I've updated. It's been busy.

Gusto's is working out pretty well. So far, I've only worked 2 shifts, and I haven't exactly been making the big bucks I was hoping for. But the place is just BETTER than Chanello's. More professional, better pizza, better management, and the neighborhoods I deliver to are not only closer to the store, but the people are generally better tippers. I picked up a shift this Thursday, in addition to the one I have on Saturday. Hopefully this week will yield some decent money.

Which leads to the subject of this post...I'm not at rock bottom yet, but I'm close. I have $9.86 in my bank account. I have about $74 on my credit card. And I don't get a navy paycheck for another week. Looks like I'm gonna be eating some Ramen noodles for a little while...I think I'm gonna have to sell my guitar. Not the bass, that would be the LAST thing I sell. But my acoustic guitar and stand. I mean, sure, I can't really play it yet, but I like having a guitar. I feel it will eventually be useful. Unfortunately, that doesn't help me now. Goodbye, Epiphone.

I don't get to see Michelle as often as I'd like, but it's nice when I do get to spend time with her. I only wish she didn't live so far away. Waking up earlier than usual and burning that much gas is hard on me. It's a good thing I like her ;)

I got the CMC to sign my early-out chit last week. It had been in his office for three days and he didn't even realize it was there. He's a complete douche, but at least I saw him approve the chit. What worries me now is how long it'll take to reach the XO and CO, and how long it'll take them to sign. I would trade BODY PARTS to get this thing signed and sealed by this week and be gone before the transit from the shipyards to the base next week. It's possible, and I pray several times a day for my chit to get signed and returned to me, but there isn't much else I can do at this point.

I've been moving my stuff, piece by piece, into the spare room at Katie's. It's not much, but I can live there for a little while. Apparently, my boss at Gusto's is the landlord for that house. He doesn't know I'm moving in there, and I'd like to keep it that way for a bit. I'll pay what I can for rent, but right now everything is kind of nebulous.

I used my ID to get a free day at Busch Gardens on Saturday. I brought Michelle home in the morning and stopped at the Greenbrier Starbucks plaza for some breakfast until the mall opened. I ran into Gwen and Rachel, who were on their way to Williamsburg. They invited me, so I went home, threw in some laundry, grabbed some stuff and went. Chuck came too, turns out he's got a season pass. I can't remember the last time I did something so spontaneous. It was quite liberating :) We all had fun, though I was late to work at Gusto's. Gwen's insistence that I stand in the Escape from Pompeii splash zone until I was completely soaked, and that I go to Ireland for dinner with them, kinda slowed me down. But when I got to work, I caught up on my deliveries and worked hard, so there's no permanent damage done.

Ugh...Chuck fell asleep on the couch watching Maury. I hate that show. It's annoying me, but I don't think I should shut it off now. He prefers to sleep with the TV on. Besides, I've got too much to do right now to worry about that. So I'm off.
