Okay, I am going to start with a blatant self advertisement, and then move onto a real post....
So, on September 9th, I am running in my first 5k. This may not seem impressive to many, but if you saw me attempt to run in April, it really is pretty good. And it is for a good cause (cancer research at Mass General Hospital). So if you would be interested in donating a bit of money (or if you are in the Boston area and want to participate!), please go to the link below:

And for the real stuff. So today was the first day of prep week for the new first years. Which makes me officially a second year and somewhat wondering where the year went. It has been quite a year, with events including (in chronological order):
1. Starting graduate school and meeting lots of awesome new people who it now feels like I have known forever.
2. Exploring Boston and coming to love it for the amazing city it is.
3. Starting (and, importantly, continuing) to feel better than I have for 4 years.
4. Rotating in 3 amazing labs.
5. Taking up running and being amazed at the increase in my endurance, even if there is still much room for improvement.
6. Finishing my last class hopefully ever.
7. Being accepted into my first choice lab.
8. Starting in said lab.
9. GETTING MARRIED!!!!!
10. Honeymooning in California!
11. Coming back to Boston and really getting into lab.
12. Getting my first choice TA assignment!
And more change yet to come. Tomorrow and Wednesday is TA training with my first TA meeting for my class on Friday. Hopefully it will go well!
