Wow, What a Year

I've been through hell and back again for my family in the past four years. I've learned so much through all of it. I don't know where I might have been if I hadn't learned foremost patience.

My husband and I nearly divorced this past year. It all started October of 2010 and it ended March of 2011. In that time he moved out, moved back in and then I kicked him out again. We were both unhappy and I realize now that it was all growing pains of our marriage. We are growing up together. Any twenty-something that assumes they're adults just because of age are very misguided. Even in your early twenties you are still just a child. Mark and I have matured in ways we never thought possible. It was easy for him to leave and me to kick him out. The hard part was figuring out that we wanted to stay together. We lost sight of each other in the dishonesty, fights and stress. We let other people play too big of a part in our decision making too. Once it was clear that losing one another was eminent we woke up and we saw each other for the first time in years.

Nothing is perfect. No one is perfect. For right now, things are great and we are happy. I am thankful for that and look forward to the future...

Shelby is growing into a beautiful little girl! She is so smart and funny. She is my mini-me. She looks just like my baby pictures. She started potty training near the end of May and has just crossed the finish line to being done. I am so proud of her! I know all kids learn it sooner or later, but she is mine and I am proud none-the-less. My baby is my heart and I will do anything for her.

I can't wait to see what is coming next! :-)
