The missing of Napster

Is there anything today comparable to what napster was in its heyday for sheer variety of music? There are many many songs I've gone looking for through iTunes, etc. that I just plain can't get. The sad thing is I'm not even talking about particularly obscure stuff... Painful, methinks. Just painful.

I don't really want to spend $15 on a CD so I can have a single track off it. Poo.
