I am trying to live the decadent spring break life. Sleeping for 10-11 hours every night (12:40 - 11:05 like clockwork, if you were wondering), doing my anthro readings in too small chunks, taking way too long to read Newsday cover to cover, and watching lots of movies. Today as a change of pace I spent hours online researching a new digital camera, which will be my birthday present to replace my poor stolen Sony, who was sort of getting on in years in the electronic world. I finally settled on
this exciting one -- which is ISO 3200 capable! (meaning reliable quality up to about 1600, which is pretty insane for a compact digital) unfortunately, it probably won't arrive before I leave for England, but one can hope.
Also: last night my mom and I went to the Hauppauge Palace Diner (a fine example of the new york greek variety) and our waitress was this blast from my elemetary school past. totally crazy! In other culinary news, I had way too many liquids at dinner tonight; Dad and I went out for Japanese and I got a noodles in soup thing in addition to miso soup and copious amounts of green tea, oof! So now I need to go balance it out with ice cream and The Illusionist AND the second half of For Your Consideration. I have my work cut out for me!
