2008 retrospective
2008...total shit year at first glance.
January: included birthday, cafe managing at B&N and illness. We were all sick as death with evil "just a cold" for six weeks.
February: had a disasterous cafe meeting where i developed a stress induced psudo-fever and got yelled at. Matthew and Aeo were in napa, I think and the Starbucks Re-Training closure drew less people then we were anticipating to the cafe. I was being exploited and was bored.
Used netflix to calm self.
March: went down to Fresno for vacation. Was warm there and was bored and annoyed. Came home to snow.
April: more drudgery.
May: Concluded Aeowyn's stay in kindergarten. Was asked to resign as B&N. Looked for work. Aquired job at Dr. Lo's office.
June: Working for doctors. Aquired two ferrets. Ferrets mean biters. Love anyway.
July:Get fired first time from Dr's office, called into work again the next day.
August: Aeowyn squashes foot in bicycle accident Dr Lo sees her for free.
Grandma, Mandy, as we called her passes away from lung cancer two days before I am coming down to see her.
Trip to Fresno for wake and family. Attain haircut from Michael.
September: Am fired from Dr's office for being crap at reception. Seek work fruitlessly and Aeowyn starts 1st grade. Join ranks on unemployment.
Interview at PLU and, very dissapointely, does not get job. Interview with Old Navy and social security card SNAFU occers that renders job helpless.
Interview with Half Price books and get job. Is seasonal.
October: Begin work for Half Price Books. Is AWESOME. Halloween, Aeowyn is Princess Leia again. Much candy and fun is had!! Ferret attack leaves us wondering if Boomer should be in a one ferret household. Daisy meraculously stops biting after discussion. Squeeky fish-dog toys lead to Boomer's new ninja of distruction status. Fish Dogs removed.
November: We have anniversary! Do nothing special due to lack of funds. 2001-2008! and still moving forward together. Love is all you need.
Crazy drug addled and possibly birth deffective neighbors move. Betting as to weather they were going to leave all those damned cats results in surprise upset! Cats taken Boyfriend abandoned! To be picked up later by unknown hotel maid??!! WTF?
December: Christmas. Not many presents but thankful anyway. Snow leads to renewed confidance in Subaru and very nasty looking dead tomato plants.
Attend x-mas party and am disappointed and saddened. Love husband's company all the more.
Just told I am hired on as full-time employee at HPB. LOVE!
