Lawsuit Filed Against CurrentTV, Shuster, and Olbermann

Let's just get a few things out on the table right now:

Legal definition of RAPE: Rape is the commission of unlawful sexual intercourse or unlawful sexual intrusion.

Former MSNBC cohorts Keith Olbermann and David Shuster are facing a lawsuit along with their parent company, CurrentTV (founded by former Vice President Al Gore) for false allegations toward James O'Keefe III, the "citizen journalist" who exposed corruption within ACORN and NPR over the past few years.

On February 24th, Shuster was the guest host for Olbermann's Countdown program on CurrentTV (which averages about 200,000 viewers per broadcast). Shuster hinted that he had a bombshell to expose regarding Andrew Breitbart. What is Breitbart's role in all this? It all started with a video from CPAC of Breitbart screaming at Occupy Wall Street protesters to "Behave yourselves" and "Stop raping people", referring to the multiple cases of rape during Occupy Wall Street events (some committed by members of the protest group, including a kitchen volunteer in NYC's Zuccotti Park). Liberals angry with Breitbart's rant quickly went on the defensive, including Olbermann. During one of his programs after CPAC, he actually went so far as to declare that sex between a 20-something and a 14-year-old runaway posing as a 19-year-old at Occupy Dallas was "consensual". This isn't really surprising coming from Olbermann, who also makes the claim that no rapes happened at Occupy Wall Street...at all.

On the February 24th broadcast of Countdown, Shuster dropped several hints regarding his story about Breitbart and O'Keefe, including this interesting nugget:
Andrew Breitbart claims to be a champion of alleged victims of sexual harassment, except when the allegations are made by one of his own bloggers against a former Breitbart associate. And then, it’s silence.
Then he went into full head-spin mode:
Still, the great irony, at least to me, is that - while Breitbart has proclaimed to be an aggressive champion of rape victims - he has said virtually nothing about one of his own female bloggers, Nadia Naffe, who has made some stunning allegations against James O’Keefe.

O’Keefe, as you may recall, is a Breitbart protégé, conservative activist, and convicted felon, who is infamous for his ambush-style, selectively-edited interviews.
Whoa! Shuster makes a pretty big leap, from claiming Naffe was a victim of sexual harassment all the way to claiming she's a victim of rape and pointing the finger at O'Keefe. (Full transcript of the episode can be found HERE.)

But here's the real bombshell - in the 13-page transcript of the just cause hearing, Naffe testifies under oath to the validity of her complaint of HARASSMENT -- NOT sexual harassment -- included the notation that there was NO touching, violence, or even threats of the same made against her. In fact, she also mentions that there was only ONE harassing communication sent directly to her from O'Keefe. Other incidents she testifies to were considered harassment through a third party, and therefore heresay. Another interesting tidbit: in a message posted on Naffe's public Twitter account, she alleges that she contacted Andrew Breitbart on the night of Oct. 2, 2011 when the alleged incident took place, but the transcript doesn't mention that. She claims she contacted two people, and neither one of them was Breitbart.

This isn't about Nadia Naffe or James O'Keefe III. The whole problem with this case is people like David Shuster and Keith Olbermann, who make attempts to sweep rape under the rug or falsely accuse others under the pretense of discrediting connected parties. If it's one thing I hate as much as rapists, it's people who flat out LIE about rape!

It'll be interesting to see how this all plays out, but I think Keith Olbermann and David Shuster have FINALLY written checks their mouths can't cash!
