Mistrial declared in CA gay student killing trial

This is Lawrence "Larry" King:

On February 12, 2008, Larry was shot in the back of the head with a .22 caliber handgun in front of a classroom full of other students. His killer is Brandon McInerney (this little turd), a pathetic excuse for a human being who had Nazi-inspired drawings and artifacts in his room at home.

A mistrial was declared in the case. McInerney was tried as an adult. The prosecutor's now have to decide whether to re-file charges against him...or let him walk away.

That's not the only part that has me roiled right now. What has me really disgusted is this:
The school administration has been accused of being more concerned about defending King's civil rights than recognizing that his behavior and what he wore - high heels, makeup and feminine clothing - made other students uncomfortable.
WHAT‽‽‽

What, was some little girl jealous that Larry looked better in heels and makeup than she did? How is this even an issue? The school should protect ALL students, not just the students who make everyone feel comfortable.

This is the kinda thing that really irks me about the society we live in. I hope the prosecutors re-file because if they don't, they're going to have a major PR issue on their hands.

death, human rights, crime
