I MET LINKIN PARK

Dec 14, 2004 22:12

THATS RIGHT BITCHES!!!!! i WANT you to be jealous. i would be jealous shit!!!! i am soooo lucky. what a great fucking day. alright this is what happened.

kenny told me a little while ago that linkin park was going to be at Borders on 100 broadway to sign their book "From the Inside" on Dec 14. i stupidly forgot the poster that i wanted to get signed so i asked my mother to bring it to andre's house so he could give it to me when he got downtown.

after school i headed over there. at first i couldnt find him cause he wasnt outside. then i found out that you had to actually BUY the book in order to meet them which really sucked because i didnt have money. when you bought they book you got a color-coded wristband, blue being the LPU and the first people to get there, green being the second, etc.

so i went upstairs in an attempt to find out exactly how much the book was and bumped into a friend from school. she said she HAD an extra wristband but had given it to someone. then i walked around and found kenny who had gotten there at 11:30 and had a green wristband. i decided to stick around until 5:30 at least to see them come in, especially because i didnt have anything to do until andre got out. me and kenny got in a conversation with the people next to us, and a guy offered to sell or lend me his book since he had two copies. but that wouldnt have worked any way because i needed a wrist band.

at one point a woman was checking the wristbands. kenny told me to get up and pretend i was looking at some books for a second. i told him i would be right back and i went to go to talk to my friend from school. i asked her who she gave the wristband to. she talked to the girl for a second and the girl had a green wristband before my friend gave her the blue one!!! so she gave me the green one, i am so fucking grateful.

then i went back to kenny and found out some bitch lady was moving them beause they were in the blue section. which wasnt their fault, because blue people came back a little later and just sat in back of them. so then this bitch lady took us ALL the way to the BACK of the green line, which was fucking retarded because it wouldve saved us AT LEAST half an hour if we were put in the front of the greens where we were supposed to be.

after we went on a fucking exodus to the back of line, i put the wrist band on my arm and taped it together with a little duct tape (so ghetto). this bitch who put us at the back kept passing by telling us to clear the isle. i was like fuck that, bitch. then andre came and brought me my poster, <3 and stayed for a little while to watch them come in the store. more waiting on the line for hours, and when the line started moving i borrowed my friend's second copy of the book (he wanted to get it signed for his friend). finally at like... 7 or 7:30? we were brought down to the floor they were on.

right when we were around the corner from the table pheonix passes and i was like hey he looks familiar oh shit! wheres he going? then they all passed us and i realized they were going to the bathroom. it was sooo funny because literally 2 minutes before kenny was talking about how he had to pee real bad so they wouldve been in the same bathroom lmao! when chester was passing i said hi and and he turned around and flashed me the cutest smile and said hi back. =) mike was lookin adorable in his little cap and brown hoodie, i wish i couldve taken pictures (but our friends are sending us some).

then they came back and the line started moving again. i wasnt nervous but i started getting worried because it specifically said on kenny's book receipt that they were only signing their book and cd's. of course the greedy book store's rule because they were selling the book and cd's at almost twice the normal price. bastards. but when i got up to the table i asked chester if he could sign the poster and he said sure. the security guard was a bit distracted so it was cool. i was going to ask chester to sign my ann rice book too because he reads ann rice, which wouldve been the hottest shit ever, but i was so happy they were signing the poster that i forgot, so oh well next time.

i told chester and mike who were at the front of the line that their music was inspirational, and chester said thank you will this look that you could just tell he was really sincere. i think chester is the nicest one, i could just tell from the way he was acting and the vibe he gave off, like he really appriciated his fans, and my friends said the same. mike was being an ass lolz, he was like "no actually its incredibly depressing, but if you took it that when then thats great =D" what a lose lolz. and then i told them that the breaking the habit video was the hottest shit ive ever seen and mike was like "nahhh it sucked. i dont like anything joe does" and i was like "shutup!!! it was great!!" and i almost hit the bill of his hat cause thats my natural reaction to people messing around with me but then i remembered security would be on me like white on rice so i didnt lolz. pheonix was like "whats going on here?" cause he didnt know what i wanted him to sign and i said "can you sign my poster?" and he was like "i dunoo can i? =)" i was like "i dunno you tell me!!" so then he looked at it and said "alright where am i?" and signed it.

the other 3 were kinda quiet and just signed my stuff, i wanted to say something but i didnt know what so i just said thanks to all of them. but all in all they are the coolest people ever. they were all very nice and joked around and were just down to earth people, not like "alright let me sign your shit and then move along."

after the signing i gave the book back to my friend and we took some pictures of us with our signed stuff and went to eat, then got on the train. i listened to the whole JZ/LP album on the way home which i need to get immediately (kenny and neka will probly get it for me for x-mas). i think the hottest songs are dirt off your shoulder/lying from you, numb/encore, and points of authority/99 problems. the one step closer half is good too but the POA half is fucking hott.

but yeah... i had a really really good day and i am totally grateful to everyone who helped me out with the wristband/book/poster, and all the people next to me on the line who were very cool about me not having waited in the cold for hours like them. (maybe the reason i lucked out was cause i actually did the right thing and WENT to school? =D) i really still cant believe that today happened. i am not completely star struck, i am really just amazed that i was so lucky. normally meeting stars is no big deal to me, but all the members of linkin park ARE my idols, i wouldnt rather meet any people in the world more than them. i look up to them and hope one day i could be half as successful and still be cool, crazy ass people like they are.

I <3 LP
