Praise the Lord! We are a musical nation
We've been explaining the genre 'musical' to **FIXME and **TODO. (Sorry, Katy WINLOLJbooklectic, but they did not have a clear conception of it until now, although they have seen several.) With a handful of notable exceptions, musicals are generally not to my taste. I like singing and acting, but much in the same way that I like chocolate and lentils, I prefer them separately.
But kids have their own ideas and tastes. **TODO has always liked to sing, since he was a baby who sang to himself in the back of the car. This morning he decided he was going to turn breakfast in to a musical, and ostentatiously sang things like "Please can I have some more mi-i-i-i-lk!".
I think he has the idea.
