Monkeying around

Ok, so all that thinking about monkeys and apes and Simiiformes has got me thinking sillier thoughts. So here is a stupid lists of songs that are not about such creatures but should be.

There's plenty of songs that actually are about primates - e.g. The Goodies' "Funky Gibbon", The Specials' "Monkey Man", The Kinks' "Ape Man", or anything by The Monkees. But this is a list of things that didn't originally mention the connection but should have:

• Ella Fitzgerald or The Marcels or Elvis, Baboon - you know: "Baboon / You saw me standing alone / Without a dream in my heart / Without a love of my own"

• Dawn and Tony Orlando, Tie A Yellow Gibbon Round The Ole Oak Tree

• Dick van Dyke and Julie Andrews in Mary Poppins - "Chimp-chimpanzee Chimp-chimpanzee chimp chimp Cher-oo"
  
• The Chiffons, He's So Fine - "He's so fine / Orang Orang-utan / Wish he was mine / Orang Orang-utan"
  
• Hawkwind, Urban Gorilla
  
• Rage Against The Machine, Gorilla Radio
  
• Amy Winehouse, Rehab "They tried to make me go to rehab, I said bo-no-bo!"
