I am reinstalling The Sims 2 onto my desktop computer, which we upgraded and completely wiped over the summer. I made backups for all of my Sims, so I'm certain I'll at least have all of my saved Sims still available to me. The reason, you ask? I want to start a Legacy. A SIMian Legacy.

I got the idea while sitting in my Primate Societies class earlier this week. I started imagining how some primate societies would look in Sim form - namely, the fiercely competitive one-male, multi-female groups, where the reproductive potential of any male means that he has fought and defeated all other males to gain access to reproducing females and he must fight to remain the main male from the bachelors. If he loses a fight? He's out. I'm debating going the "infanticide" route, but I would only have the children be taken away by the social worker so that the females can become pregnant again (anything older than child would be spared - which makes my dilemma difficult, since social workers take ALL children away).

I'm even debating making a full scientific "documentary"/Legacy out of it. It seems absurd and delightful at the same time. Would anyone be interested in reading about this, and/or want me to make some official, science-ey rules for such a Legacy?
