I would certainly appreciate it. If it's alright for me to come and choose from what you have.

I'd return the offer, but I doubt you'll have a use for a text in Spanish, from 1898.

Of course. Come by whenever you'd like.

If I knew more than basic Spanish for emergencies, I'd probably say yes.

I'll be free some point this afternoon, if you'll be in.

If it would be useful, I would teach you some more, but I'm fairly sure there are other languages of more use here.

Should be. Cabin 2, Level 5, when you're free.

There are, but god knows I have enough trouble understanding people even when they're using English.

Ah, just down the corridor.

Especially here. You would think there enough unusual afflictions and unusual treatments in the world without more being added.

That's the way of things though, isn't it? We can treat pox but we can't treat stupidity or stubbornness.

Nor intolerance nor cruelty.

At least the pox is a start.

That's more spiritual work than it is medicinal anyway.

True enough. If any man could cure all the world's ills, what would we be left with?

Any man? ...you mean God?

And we'd be left without a job.

Perhaps. If any man ever could, He would be the one. But again, where would we be?

Unemployment doesn't suit us, I think.

I'm sure humanity would come up with some new ill, I wouldn't worry too much.

If there is one thing, unfortunately, that we're very good at... it is war and creating our own ills.

We're so good at it that some people have made it into their careers.

Indeed. And some others make it into theirs to stitch them back together again.

That being said, for all the war and creation of ills... there's love and art and poetry.

Some might call that futile, you know. Stitching people up when others keep actively seeking to blow holes through them.

There is. Art and poetry and generally existing.
