Sad news.
I learned today that my 12-year-old kitty, Shadow, has contracted the Feline Leukemia Virus. What this means is that her immune system is compromised and it is likely that she will continue to get ill on a regular basis until she passes away.
The vet (and all other resources) say that death occurs between a few weeks to a few years after diagnosis, with and average life span of 2 years after daignosis.
I'm hopeful we can get her past the ringworm she's caught, get her healthy, and that she will live a long time, but who knows?
