I have spent the better of the morning taking quizzes

Harry Potter Personality Quiz

That's right-I killed dumbledore! bwahahahahaha!

If they told you I'm mad, then they lied.
I'm odd, but it isn't compulsive.
I'm the triolet, bursting with pride;
If they told you I'm mad, then they lied.
No, it isn't obsessive. Now hide
All the spoons or I might get convulsive.
If they told you I'm mad then they lied.
I'm odd, but it isn't compulsive. What Poetry Form Are You?

The second one made me want to try my hands at a few different types of poetry, so here are my possibly crappy attempts.

According to Writing World, this is how you wrrite a triolet:
"Of the triolet's eight lines, the first line is used three times and the second line is repeated once. So the requirement for rhyme words is easy, and the eight lines really come down to only five different ones--easier than it seems at first" It is also supposed to be witty, so berar with me.

My triolet:

My heart belonged to you, my dear
When yours belonged to another
There was nothing to be done, I fear
My heart belonged to you, my dear
My flames that burned bright and clear
Were the ones that you did smother
My heart belonged to you, my dear
When yours belonged to another

I think I did a good job with that one; It felt very victorian. except the fifth and sixth lines could use some work.

The modern cinquain:
line 1 - one word (noun) a title or name of the subject
line 2 - two words (adjectives) describing the title
line 3 - three words (verbs) describing an action related to the title
line 4 - four words describing a feeling about the titlem, a complete sentence
line 5 - one word referring back to the title of the poem "

My modern Cinquain:
"On Chocolate"
Chocolate:
Deliciously sweet
Taste the joy
It makes me happy.
Yummy

Okay that was lame. Both the poem ad the style of poetry

Perhaps I will write more later, but my inspirartion well has run dry

Feel free to leave comments in the form of equally crappy poetry. Of course, you don't have to do that.
