One of worst ways of describing sex.... and it was plagiarized...

Okay... so I've been reading a lot of trashy 1980s early 1990s harlequin romances which often times use 'inventive' ways of describing sex. The following gem can be found in a novel called "A Lasting Kind of Love" by Catherine Spencer.

"His heart booming to an unbearable crescendo, he lowered his mouth again to hers, and with dreadful, hurting care, stormed the furled portals of her womanhood."

Gives you quite an image, huh?

So I just googled the term 'furled portals' and found a book titled: Painful Pleasures by Donna Sturborne which looks to be word or word plagiarized from Spencer - except the names of the two main characters are different. I've emailed xlibris book publishing company. I suppose if they don't remove it I could email harlequin.
