Passion.
It's an interesting thing, this suddenly striking beast what preys on the hopeful.
Most people live for their entire lives never truly feeling the force of passion.
They don't know of its grip, the tight feeling around your chest your brain just can't describe.
They miss out on life at its most splendid.
Taste is more savory.
Sight is more vivid.
Hearing is more clear.
Smell is more delicate.
Touch is more electrifying.
It's life as it is meant to be.
Colorful, vibrant, engrossing, all encompassing.
You never know when it may strike you.
But when it does, it's one of the most glorious things to exist.
I'm thankful that passion walked into my life.
That she danced with me.
Made me hers.
Brought with her all the vestments of joy, excitement, and tenderness.
But...
There's always a but.
Passion can be fickle.
It can flee, leave you in the cold, struggling to recoup.
It can leave less of a person than you were when you started.
But I don't intend on letting that happen.
I am going to hold on tight and ride into the wind.
And I don't think any thought could make me happier.
