So, because Iris was in it as part of the ensemble, I went to a high school production of A Christmas Carol. It was surprisingly better than I thought it was going to be; the guy they had playing Scrooge pretty well floored me. Good show all around, though some parts dragged on a bit, I thought. Aside from that, work continues to be stressful, but I think everything has been caught. At least now I know how to push a new build onto the server.
So the next band is one I like by name alone! Coming as an amalgamation of parts of the Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age comes Them Crooked Vultures. If you know the previous two bands mentioned, I don't really need to explain what they sound like. Heavier alternative band, riffs just get in your head, associated by fans with the term stoner rock.
Dead End Friends is the one I would think more on my list would be familiar with due to its inclusion in Rock Band 3. This actually wasn't the first song I heard by them. Still a fun song.
Gunman was the first song I heard through Last.FM's recommendations. That riff just pounded its way into my head and wouldn't let go, and that's how I found myself with the self-titled debut album.
Caligulove is the the last song I put out, and this one stands out because I just love the title. At the very least, with Them Crooked Vultures, if you liked this preview, the backlog is one album; I think this is the newest band on my list. Might take an hour at most!
BONUS SONG
Coming from the band known as Kansas comes Lightning's Hand! Kansas is really hit or miss with me; I like Carry On My Wayward Son and Dust in the Wind and Hold On, but nothing else really grabs my attention from them. Lightning's Hand was a nice change from that, and the guitar solo was just too awesome to pass up.
